The Davis book is wonderful. The Capote ball was stuff of legend growing up in NYC in the 60s and 70s. I can remember my parents pouring over the photos at the breakfast table. It seems like another lifetime ago.

Ah, I posted the first on because related James Sherwood [Forest] book and contained the frogging I believe you were referring in an earlier thread. Not really relevant I know. The second was a little velvet number from Hitchcock JR. I tend to like the louche-ness of Velvet for these type of occasions. Enough crap... David Niven
