I sent an e-mail, but just wondering if James Grose orders might be happening in the future? Or any chance of a restock on the suede Manila in a size 38?

    Thanks!!

Speaking of James Grose, here's my MTO:

It's quite sturdy feeing and I jingle as I walk with all the zipper pulls.

Very pleased with it. Thanks NMWA!

What size do you recommend in the Bumfreezer? I'm 5' 4" with a 34" chest. XS or XXS?

Anyone here ever size up on the Bumfreezer from medium to large to get the extra body length? Or would that be not recommended.

It says TTS but the chest and shoulder measurements between a medium and large don't seem too much more. Less than the SB's medium to large, which the site says the SB "fits slim".

But I had to go TTS medium on the SB as the large was too big for my body and shoulders.

    Thanks.

Oh, anyone buying the new Arctic vest to put in last seasons SB's or DB's to replace when necessary the sleeved liner? I'm assuming last seasons SB would accept the vest(same attachments etc.)

I went Med to Large in the BF. If was enough of a difference to make it much more comfortable without it looking baggy. Also, I found the sleeve length to be too short on the M vs L. I'm roughly Newcomer's size but with broader shoulders. He wears the M, I wear the L.

Never want to dissuade you. But having spent time in Florida and having handled a bumfreezer, it seems like overkill. The liner is integrated and can't be removed. I can't seem it worn more than like 2-3 times a year

    Hmmm, thanks.

My shoulders aren't broad, at about 18". Chest 38.5".

Hopefully Newcomer and others can chime in.

    Thanks!

I appreciate your thoughts. And you're right. Esp. considering that I have the Memory, Juncus and other coats and wear them sparingly down here.

Thought it might be cool to have for traveling. It looks so awesome. I was considering the Sand Herringbone. Thought it would be interesting to have a sort of warm color on a winter coat.

I think I'm about the same size as you, 5'10" at 165lbs, roughly 39" chest and a touch shy of 18" shoulder (typically MD and 48-50). I tried on a friend's SM Bumfreezer last night over a light sweater and, surprisingly, it fit pretty comfortably but I definitely wouldn't be able to layer anything under other than a light sweater. When zipped up fully, I felt a slight pull on the front chest if I correct my posture and stand up straight, shoulders back; so I would say stick with your usual MD.
