Tobacco scented cologne

I'm not a smoker, but I love the smell of tobacco. I love it so much that I wouldn't mind smelling like it in casual settings.

Which colognes are easily accessible, would be suitable for a 20 y/o male, and would fit this description?

I can't see what you are trying to achieve with this. Smoke a cigar inside and enjoy having that smell on your clothes for weeks. And yea I think it's pretty gross and a pretty bad idea for a cologne.

Tobacco smells very differently before it's burned. Smell a cigar or some pipe tobacco, or even a good unsmoked cigarette.

That said, I'm not sure of any colognes specifically, though I know I've seen one or two in a store that were dominated by a sweet pure tobacco smell. I'll post if I can remember the names.

Try Tom Ford's Tabaco Vanille

For a cheaper option, try Gaultier Le Male... tobacco and vanilla. A REALLY cheap option is the "Cubano Gold" cologne that you can often find at fragrance stores and discounters for $10 or so. The Tom Ford mentioned above is great... but what 20 year old has $180 to spend on a 50ml/1.7 oz cologne?

Bandit has a vague ashtray note, but then it's not really accessible.

I have the perfect one for you. i got it in cuba and the bottle looks like a bunch of cigars. i could be convinced to sell it.

Czech and Speake's "Cuba" is tobacco all the way!

I find the immediate connection between "tobacco" and "90 year old infected smoker" in peoples heads to be very interesting.

Check http://www.basenotes.net/. Use their "Fragrance Directory" search to narrow down the ones you think you might like, and then sample them.

Havana by Aramis if you can find it (try ebay). +1 for checking basenotes. There are lots of threads there on this one.

Do a search on Basenotes as MCsommerreid and Fabro mentioned - lots of threads on this subject - I guess most of us are members there too.

But for a quick answer - try Creed's Tabarome - easy to find in high end dept stores. Here's a description of it - Tabarome by Creed is a aromatic fougere fragrance for men. Top notes are ginger, mandarin orange, bergamot and lemon; middle notes are sandalwood and tahitian vetiver; base notes are musk, tea and tobacco.

Note - Creeds also got an older version of it - which is different in smell - was popular with Winston Churchill - called Vintage Tabarome - many people have described this one as the smell of OLD MONEY - hence, not for someone in their 20's
