Compression shorts. Either attached to the short, or separate. Best way to go, by far.

I wouldn't wear compression shorts. I buy running shorts with a light breathable liner built in.

I consider the liners built into the shorts to be compression shorts, but they should be compression short-like IMO. Not like swim trunk style, those are terrible.

I prefer to wear longer undershorts/boxers when running, since the length prevents the legs from sliding up while I run. I find both of these very comfortable: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Al...ts/5360029283/ http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/He...er/5360038628/

I wear boxer-briefs. I have a pair of compression shorts, but I often find they compress a little too much. If anything, I save the compression shorts for heavy lifting days.

What's the point of compression clothes anyway? I feel most sports garments are tight enough as it is. I don't want them to compress me.

Good question. I rarely wear them anyway. I think many guys like compression shirts because it shows off their physique.

That's funny, I dislike compression shirts for the same reason

Under Armour makes a pair of boxer briefs that are called Boxer Jock that I really enjoy.

They keep the muscles warm, which helps prevent strains.

That's what warming up is for. If you are not warm while training after warming up you are doing something seriously wrong...
