Best Shoe Polishes?

I have been reading quite a bit on the shoes discussed here and on Andy's Forums. I was wondering what are the best polishes that can be had online.

I like Saphire and La Cordonnerie Anglaise.

These come up from time to time, and are always highly recommended. To my knowledge a satisfactory source (short of going to Paris) for those of us in the USA has yet to be suggested.

I've recently switched to Lincoln. Franco's carries a nice selection at good prices.

Barneys used to sell a shoe shine kit (was it $300? $400?) that included two tins of L.C.A. polish (neutral and black).

Gotta agree.  Not a fan of mirror-like shines. Grayson

That is rebranded Saphir

Good to know, thanks for the info. I figured it was rebranded something. All of the top shoemakers sell their own brand of polish, and I never thought that they actually made it themselves. I wonder if certain companies like EG tweak a certain polish though, for use on their own shoes.

But you'll agree at least that it's pretty damn good polish

Custom shoemaker Perry Ercolino uses this brand. Good stuff, too. Grayson

I concur. Saphir is the best I've ever tried and I lament it not being readily available in my neck of the woods. Strangely enough, among the budget polishes, I've found Kiwi parade gloss does a very reasonable job.

Yes, Saphir (and it's incarnations under various brands such as Lobb and Weston) is the only polish/cream/conditioner that I use.
