Crescent Down Works - Page 33

Anybody here dry clean their nylon / cotton italian vest? I had brought my navy blue italian vest to be dry clean to a place that I've had good reviews from doing CG jackets. When I got the vest back, my vest felt less Nylon like. On top of that it looks like the garment looks like it has little hairs on it - not smooth like how it was before I brought it in. The dry cleaner says its wear and tear which is stupid since it was not like that before i brought in the vest. Also the down has shifted A LOT where the vest is somewhat flat now. I left it at the dry cleaner and they said they will fix the shifting. Just wondering if this is a bad dry cleaner or just poor construction / materials on CDW part.

If anyone's looking for a bargain, I found this shop here locally selling some cdw stuff at a pretty steep discount. You have to call to order though.

Asked for measurements on the down parkas IzzyMartin is selling, and here they are for the size small:
chest 21", shoulder 18.5", shoulder to hem 24", shoulder to cuff 26"
Would have kopped instantly but it's slightly on the large side for me. They offer a very good price for the parkas, check that out!!

I got the 60/40 down sweater with detachable hood from South Willard last week. Great quality and perfect weight for SF "winter."

i had the exact same experience when i dry cleaned a cdw down park i used to have, outer looked and felt weird and the whole jacket somehow felt a lot lighter and thinner than it had been as if a lot of down had escaped. never sent anything to that dry cleaner aftewards...

Yeah I sent mine back to CDW and they are going to look at it. I emailed them and they said they have never heard about this and told me to send it back. I hope they can do something about it. Its almost like there was some sort of coating on the vest and when I got it back, it just didn't feel as sturdy.

I am SM in the Italian vest and down parka. Yes it does fit slim. I can still fit a sweater underneath. The neck is q little tight as when I button to the top it feels like somebody is sorts chockin me out lol. For ref I am med in BoO and small in a GBV.

I've not tried the parka but they do fit slim if you size down, I am normally a large in everything and my vest/jacket are M.

How much were the down parkas going for?

Anyone know the pit-to-pit measurements of the South Willard California Winter Jackets in XXS and XS? SW informed me that the XXS had a pit-to-pit of 18. Seems a bit off compared to some of the measurements of larger sizes in this thread, but if anybody would know it would be Ryan...
