My busy schedule prevented me from going the first day. When I got there the next day shortly after 4, I was surprised to find a decent selection of Grenson Masterpieces of my size. I must be the luckiest guy, being at the right place at the right time. As I was making my selection, the salespersons started to put up further mark-down signs. So I bought six pairs of Grenson MP at $100 each for a grand total of $600. They're all beautiful shoes, not some weird cuts or colors. I'll pose some pix of the shoes over weekend if I can find time to do it. There're still some very good selection of shoes, like wholecuts and captoes, available for large sizes when I left. As for suits, I spotted one Isaia and one St. Andrews to my liking and I am holding out for a further reduction on suits this Friday. I may be back Thur. afternoon, let me know if any of you want me to check the shoes for you.

That makes me angry and very mad. l wish we could get bargains like that in Australia.

If anyone sees any wholecuts or derby shoes (plain toe or with medallion) in 11.5 or 12, please let me know. I know this is taking a shot in the dark but...The shoes in pics 1 and 3 would be ideal but beggars...you know the rest. http://66.170.193.77/cgi-bin....7;st=50

Dan was kind enough to pick up a pair of the specs for me in 9D. Thank you. If anyone is going back today, I am wondering if you can pick up some more Stuart Choice shoes (9D) for me. Please PM me if you are able to do so. Also, how was/is the selection of trousers or casual pants? Thank you.

I'm going to have to go back and have a look again today as well... I need more shoes like I need a hole in the head, but at these prices, yikes.

Here's side-laced in walnut.  Can someone instruct me how to do thumbnail with link? Link to large image of above thumbnail
The walnut side-laced is devastatingly beautiful. 110% shoe porn material. You have to see it in person to appreciate it, the photo can't do it justice. Too bad it has none of my size. I was tempted to buy one pair as object d'art.

I hope some of you who make it to the sale are buying some extras to put on Ebay. There are many of us who'd be willing to pay for those Grensons if the size is right.

Can we get a listing of sizes? The 10s, 10.5s are basically cleaned out of Stuart's Choice, excepting a pair of the black angle-lace (which I just can't get into -- walnut, maybe...) The people on the lower end of the size range (9D and below, especially 7.5D, 7D) are in luck. If any of you folks are out there, speak up. Decent selection in 12.5D, 13D as well. Oh, and upon my last visit, two of the sales folk in the shoe section said hi, including one who called me a "smart shopper" for having come in twice a day since the beginning of the sale. I need help -s

If anyone sees an 8D wholecut in brown or black with or without medallion, I'll take it.

Does anyone find it odd that the Styleforum went ape-"ship" over this sale, and there hasn't been a peep of interest on the Ask Andy forum after a similar announcement was made?  Or has everyone used this thread as a main form of communication?  I mean a saw a fair number of Easter Egg colored trousers marked down to $40-75--that sounds like a dream for those Trad guys.
