My antique/polish result on a pair of AE Westgate in Brandy. What do you think?

I have a pair of AE westgate in Brandy. I just never liked the color. So today I put some efforts to darken them up. Here are a few pictures of the results.

What do you think? Do you like them better than the orginal brandy color or you think I ruined them? Please cast your vote. Thanks.

now just be sure to let them rest and set for a few days before using them

you just inspired me to do the same to my park avenues. i want to make them a darker brown.

Indeed. Your shoes look very lovely, but I cannot say if they look better or worse, as I don't know what they looked like before.

His Westgates original color is the orange shoe in this photo

p.s. the Clifton's to the left in the photo used to be Chestnut color before I antiqued them a darker brown

That 'brandy' Westgate looks like a particularly lurid orange-flavoured creme caramel I once had.
