same here. used to get shit all the time for it. I tend to think bro ideology leaves no room for realizing one's own limitations, and smart lifters are able to come to terms with them. I spent 3 months stretching my achilles every day, and my heels still come up just using the bar with no plates.
Bad form? Maybe for people that have decent achilles length/flexibility.
