Stylish, but not outrageous haircut in NYC

Where to get a pretty stylish haircut that's not outrageous in NYC? My job requires me to have short hair, nothing that would be considered a fad. I have no idea what I want, so, I need to go to someone who would recommend me a style...

help...

Paul Mole is one of the best barber shops in the city, and its been around forever. Real professionals. A standard haircut is $33.00.

+1 drop a bunch for the initial cut from an ultra-pro like at Fekkai, then you can have it trimmed and maintained anywhere in the future
