New gap denim - Page 25

was in gap today and bought one of the new shirts. The fit is excellent very slim but not tight. The small fits perfectly on me. The fabric is great and they added some cool chambray lining details.

What is the shirt called?

I didn't see it online. Its just one of their new fitted plaid shirts. Fits me better than BoO (newer cuts) I'd say. I'll post pics later.

Yah, tried it on yesterday. fits just like all other fitted gap shirts as far as i can tell, except the hem is cut a little higher. not a bad shirt, but the plastic buttons were a little offputting.

All the stores in my area carry the worst shit. The Gap? Never any chambray or anything raw.
Banana Republic? Same. Macys? No STFs, J. Crew, no chambray.

Why must everyone in town have no style?

I don't think it is too short, atleast not any sorter than any others. I think the jacket works/fits the way most do. If someone is slender like myself 6'2" 175lbs (which I think you are) you pretty much have to size down in order to make sure you are not swimming in the thing. I am also broad shoulder so it makes things even harder to fit.

I think the fit on the jean jacket looks fine. It's supposed to fit short; it's a denim jacket. Also, I have the chambray shirt and I think the fit is surprisingly really good. Slim, but not too slim; it is workwear inspired, after all.

My Gap didn't have any of the new selvage. I showed the saleswoman the gap.com page of them and she said they have not received any yet and to check back Thursday when they get some new stock.

I hope they get them, and in my size too, because my 40% off coupon expires on the 7th. The authentic fit is nice, but the measurements are a bit off. 30 waist fits like most everyone else's 31s. If anyone orders online, +1 to whatever you usually size down by.

For those that already have a pair. How are they stretching out?

They also had the old 1969 selvage with the selvage coin pocket for full price. I cant believe they haven't been discounted yet.
