New gap denim - Page 100

My skinny selvage from last year fit better than any other pair of jeans I own, including my KMW Rockers and tailored R&B RB11s. I am definitely waiting for the next 40 or 45% code to buy more.

I think theyve got both now. They have about 4 styles of selvage, 3 of which were rinse. Only one was raw. However, the new raws aren't as as well made as the older model. I think theyve lacking some details like back pocket rivets and such.

I've ordered the new raw jeans twice and they keep sending me the same rinsed jean. Pretty much have given up.

That's because they've discontinued the raws with which they earned their reputation. Despite the online photos, it's all rinse now.

correct mate, but like the chap above me noted the skinny's were my best fitted jeans-- essentially a slightly more fitted new standard. Really wanted another pair but oh well.

I have a sparsly worn 34x32 that I might be able to cough up. PM me if you're interested and want to deal.

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the white "1969" on the back of the jeans?

Anyone have any experience with the newer "original" fit jeans? I just ordered some of these: http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=72037&vid=1&pid=869193

Very similar to straight fit, just a slightly higher, a bit of taper and lower back pockets.

And GAP's lack of stability emerges again. No wonder the company is tanking.

It's just plain baffling how inconsistent GAP can be. I mean everything changes.... logo, materials, sizing, return policy, etc

Uniqlo please save us in the West Coast from such incompetence

VERY disappointed in the new iteration of these jeans.

OLD:
-Made in China
-Good quality denim
-Resin rinse (I believe)
-Flat back pocket

NEW:
-Made in Bangladesh
-Worse denim
-No apparent resin rinse, seem to be one-washed
-Back pocket has an extra sewn line down the middle.

If anyone has a hardly-worn pair of the old style skinny in 32-30 or 31-30, I'd be very interested. PM me.

The website still shows the old (aka good) version, by the way. But the reviews indicate that they'll send you the new shitty versions

Downtown Seattle GAP has the "old" style skinny jeans back in stock! Must have found some in the back of a truck somewhere?

A handful of the "straight" fit as well in that style.

Put an old and new jean right next to each other, the difference in the denim is striking.

I have the skinny from last year and the straight fit from this year, I sized down one and the fit is basically the same. Quality of the old one seems a tad better but basically the same ish to me... both fit fantastic though
