Yeah, me too, actually. It's a very typical Japanese (or Japanese-influenced) quirky street fashion thing, mixing formal elements, western denim and workwear and traditional Japanese aizome work - the sort of thing promoted by rather excellent Tokyo labels like 45rpm. It's a long way from MC, and it's not even interested in MC type rules, and it's from a totally different cultural understanding of style - so it's not surprising that some here won't get it. I think it's great, and I wish I could do it, but I'd only end up looking like an idiot. There's a seriousness and commitment required...

Agreed on all points. I think it looks smashing, and know for certain that I would look a complete twonk if I ever tried to copy that style! :)

If I have to dress like the dweeb on the right in order to hang out with her, I'm in favor.  I wonder what she's reading...?

He rarely looks less than smashing. And as usual he's working his look well.

That shirt collar is something else. I'm on the fence on whether or not it is just a smidgen too tall for his neck....but I like it's presence! Doesn't it seem like his coat collar should be brought up some in the back if the shirt collar is to be so high?

He needs to man up and button that damn thing. Unbuttoned DB, hands in pockets makes the jacket look about 3 sizes too big.
