The all "Geography teacher" look is too much for me...

The fit is too close to the body .

I do find the use of green for the jacket a creative choice...

Pretty much, he's got that sorta igent thing pulled off to perfection. I dunno if he gets bored of it sometimes and wears like a cape and disco ball silver tights but even if he doesn't he's still impressive. The green velvet guy would look way better if he wore the jap's guy whole outfit w. his green blazer.
