I think the jacket is nice, but I don`t like the combination (knit tie, pants, shirt). LK would probably wear this jacket nicely.

Assuming that the previous jacket was a Dries Van Noten piece, Hamish Bowles is having even more fun with the label:

The pattern combo will surely ruffle some feathers here, but not only would I wear it much like this (excepting the tie), I've also been saved the effort. The trench works as a balancing factor. His new moustache is the most polarizing accessory for me

Horrendous. The Pierre Cardin coat with obnoxious-slash-ironic buttons is the cherry on the cake

I'd like Foof to take a shot* at the tie - a plain navy or royal blue would be so much easier on the eyes. Otherwise, no backsies - I'm a whimsical man

*And the moustache has to go

can't see the Hamish pic at work, be he always wears wacky jackets (thought he went to Richard James exclusively) and other wacky stuff (anyone have the pic of him with the huge fur hat?) but he is in fashion and he makes it work. Hard to be Joe Schmo with a ***** jacket running around town.

I like it actually, though I think he'd be better off with a solid tie.

Same, I like everything save for the tie.

This type of army field jacket was very popular when I was in High School outside of NYC in 1969-70. A lot of the guys coming back from prep schools wore them as well. We all wore white or blue Lee jeans and vintage field jackets. Best of all you can get new or vintage versions at any army navy surplus store. Millions of these jackets were made and, with all the pockets, they are quite handy.

After reading the post and comments, I've finally realized just how much The Sartorialist is a pseudo-existentialist circle-jerk.
