Did they raise prices signifigantly?

i wouldn't say significantly.....
but they did raise prices of a few items by $3-4 with the new year
which is the most i raised any prices from my last thread
shipping costs also went up a few dollars

unless you mean just in general
i did notice that each new item they come out with is significantly more expensive than older stuff (ex. button-up vest $50, pique polo $50)

Has anyone purchased any orange label products, for example "O40014 Pima Striated Boyfriend Cardigan"? Is the sizing as simple as looking up your chest size under the Women's Sizing chart? Thanks
post #20 of 269

sizing should be the same as regular woman's sizing
1 (S), 2 (M), 3 (L)
I mean in comparison to the men's sizing... just find your chest size under the Women's Sizing chart? I realize it is probably that simple, just wanted to confirm.

that's how i would do it..

but because that particular item is "Contemporary boutique fit, 80's over sized styling"
my guess would be if you're a mens small get a 1 for regular fit, and a 2 for over sized fit
i have not seen that item in real life to tell you for sure, but that would be my best guess

i've been waiting for someone to order that particular item to see how it would work on guys
but no one has pulled the trigger yet

i understand this is at a short notice (only one week from last order)
so if there is a lack of interest, i'll just push it back another week

How does an American Apparel small compare to a Alt. Apparel small?
Thread Starter
if you're a small in one, you're a small in the other

they'll be about the same through the shoulders and chest (maybe alt is a tad slimmer), but alternative shirts are about an inch or two shorter than american
depending what alternative shirt you're looking at, they may differ a bit, but for the most part they are true to size

i don't have exact measurements for smalls, so hopefully someone else can help you out with those

personally, i prefer the alternative fit

I have one AA3092 The "Palmer" Eco-Vertigrain V-Neck Sweater in medium charcoal
it's been washed once and tried on once by me, but never worn outside
it's just been sitting folded in my drawer for a few weeks
they retail for $42.00, and I sell them for $27 brand new
i'll let someone add this one to their order for $20
first come first serve, let me know if you're interested
pm or e-mail

Is that comparing them after washing? AA tees shrink a ton so they are a tad small on me after i wash them.

after washing..
alternative doesn't shrink nearly as much and as inconsistent as american

I may be imagining things, but it feels like my alt. app. t-shirts got bigger after washing.
