Slim cell phone and two house keys in front right pocket (I don't have a car up at school). Pack of gum, lighter, and chapstick in front left pocket. Wallet in back right pocket (I really should switch to a money clip, but then there is the problem of where to put Student ID, Licence, bus pass, credit card, print card, bank card, etc). Pens in inside coat pocket. Two kilos of pure uncut Columbian in aluminum briefcase.

How does that work for getting past the dogs?

During summer months I typically pare down what I carry. Money clip along with a minimal change in front right pocket, keys in left pocket. Cell phone in left front pocket but I have a small phone so it doesn't bulge.

The dogs caught me with a factory sealed snack pouch of beef jerky, so I suspect they'd sniff out the contents of a Halliburton case pretty quick.

Coins?

Rubbish, but useful for throwing at beggars and the feral children of the working classes should them impede ones progress.

Never carry a wallet, always use a card case and fold money or use money clip. Here's how I carry mine:

When going to work wearing a jacket, wallet, cell phone, money, access card and keys all evenly distributed amongst the 4 or 5 pockets on/in the jacket.

When going to work without a jacket, everything except money gets in the brief case.

When going to work without a jacket or brief case, card case in rear pant pocket, money on the side, only carry one house key and in the other side pant pocket, cell phone in hand.

I buy my girlfriend another purse. "Surprise baby! Can you hold this junk now?"

I put bills and cards in the left front pocket. Keys and any change goes in the right front pocket. I carry the cellphone in my hand or just leave it in the car/home .

I wish I could figure out a way to get rid of the keys in the right front pocket too. They are heavy and bulge a little.

Because it makes you look ridiculous.

Wallet: Thin no fold in right rear pocket with jeans and casual pants. In dress pants I usually put it in the front right pocket. Cell phone: I buy usually the smallest one I can and put it in my left pocket. If I am typically wearing dress clothing I am at a wedding, funeral, or business meeting in which case I either leave it in the car or put it in the briefcase. Keys: Typically in my right front pocket. I limit my key ring to 2 keys and my alarm fob so it doesn't take up lots of room. When I am not driving I put my keys in their glove compartment so I don't have to carry them around. Business card holder: Usually in my briefcase or in left jacket pocket if I am wearing a suit or sportcoat. Change: I don't carry change. and I always carry chapstick in my left pocket because my lips always get dry.

I carry a Tumi card case with a little pouch for some bills in my rear pocket. I don't exactly live in the crime capital of the U.S. so I needn't worry about pickpockets.

Front pocket generally holds a cell phone and anything else I'm lugging around.

Cell: right front pocket, wallet: left front, keys: right back, notebook: left back. Oh, and, clipping your cell phone to your belt is on par with wearing a pair of crocs.

Sometimes I put the keys in the Right Trouser pocket. And, on some jackets, I don't have the special cell phone pocket; in that case, the phone goes in the Left Outside Jacket Pocket.
