I think that's fine. If it were any smaller, it would be too short at the waist.

Short or too tight? Lenght is the same in 40 and 42 (my size)

I thought you only wear canvassed suits and 7 fold ties. And it is ridiculous to not wear a tuxedo to a semi-formal event? And loafer is also bad? So why the leather jacket?
