Seriously. That "Resort Collection" they're running is horrible prep caricature stuff. The only saving grace is that I'm going to be at the north pole for five months and hopefully they'll have refreshed their line by the time I get back.

The jcrew model isn't that slim, even in their classic cut. I'm pretty straight up and down, and they're hippy on me.

borrelli's or incotex from past season in red should be slim and cheap -- it's not a popular color so they are often discounted...

Vineyard Vines isn't slim at all.

Brooks Brothers DC had quite a few OTR cotton versions. Priced at ca. $98 if I recall ...

I have a pair by CT that is pretty slim fitting. IMHO the quality is pretty good considering that you should be able to get those on sale.

I would also try to get Incotex - even though they might not be the original, I prefer the cut and the "feeling" of the trousers.

For a rather cheap alternative try Swedish brands Velour by Nostalgi and Our Legacy. The Our Legacy ones can be found here http://shop.textalk.se/en/article.ph...71&art=1688583 , here http://en.super-market.se/store.aspx?cid=0&bid=3 and here http://www.tresbienshop.net/en/art/o...-chino-red.php

And I could only find a picture of the Velour ones. I took the picture from a webshop, but I can't remember which one. Let me know, if you want to me to find the webshop again

Hope this was to some sort of help. I know it isn't exactly super quality, but from experience I can say that both are just finel.

Not much left, but for what it's worth:

My Murrays are pretty slim. Maybe I got them in the wrong size? They're pretty old, so maybe it's that I've 'grown'.....

+ 1 on Incotex (spring collection from Yoox?) and Borrelli I received yesterday a slim pair of red (almost pink?) Borrelli slacks bought on SF (thanks again AnGeLiCbOrIs). The fit very nicely, and are pretty slim. They are a bit too flashy for me, I'm a bit afraid of my wife's reaction :-) There were a few pairs of Borrelli pants in red last week on ebay (BIN under 100 USD) Lance from VCH just received some Borrelli pants (see his recent thread on B&S) e.g http://www.virtualclotheshorse.com/i...duct_id=553293 or check http://www.shopthefinest.com/

Unfortunately VV doesn't have their version of the Nantucket Red's in stock right now and won't know when they'll have them. Just keep checking, is what they told me!
