E-books are not for everyone. Did they make you buy all of the dental texts even the ones you'll never use? What did they ding you for the e-book package or did they just bundle it into the cost of the mac book?

Oh yes, I have probably 100+ textbooks on "vitalbook" and I only use a few of them. Professors here don't really teach from the book, so buying all this shit was nothing more than a racket. Vitalbook runs $1500/year and when the license expires you are left with nothing.

I have a MacBook. All I use my laptop for are: 1) typing notes and papers; 2) updating my iPod; and 3) going on styleforum to buy shit I don't need. While I feel that the Macbook is stylish and easy to use, it is fragile, and makes it not worth the premium you pay. I definitely don't handle everything I have with kids gloves, but after just carrying the Macbook in a protective case, in my messenger bag with 2 casebooks, parts of the outer casing is cracking, and I can see the shell loosening up. Not so sure what the deal is with that.

Always loved macbooks, used to have a 12" powerbook a while back. However, I was going to buy a macbook air for portability(more of a travel/coffee shop machine) but went the netbook way instead and love it. I just can't justify $1800 for something I can get from a $400 machine.
