Levis Verde Cast

Saw the levis green tinted denim on the Levis website. It's called Verde Cast but they only have it in 2 sizes.

Anyone know where I might be able to track down a pair of STF 501s in Verde?

I think I'm going to hit the Times Square Levis store to look for a pair of these. I haven't been there yet and I work within walking distance.

This will be my first experience with Levis Shrink to Fit. If I'm a 32/31 then what size will I want in Shrink to Fit?

Also, am I correct in assuming that the ones with the "XX" on the back tag are the ones that are made in America? And are all 501 STF made with the 1947 cut?

Thanks.

XX means nothing The inseam shrinks about 3" in my experience (my 30x34 turned into a 30x31) They just changed the 501 cut, they weren't '47 styled before but not they're (iirc) even slimmer

none of these are made in America anymore (except LVC range). As for size, I wear 28 in capital e, 29 in LVC 47 and I went with 29 waist in these shrink to fits and they fit great. Make sure you get it right in the length, ur going to lose at least 3 inches. And don't worry about the "XX", its almost irrelevant these days.

Has anyone been to the Times Square Levis store? Anyone want to fill me in on how big it is and what kind of stock/selection they have in there?

Which one of the NYC stores is the biggest with the most selection?

Yeah I guess it is hard to capture the green especially against a bluish-green background. However true-to-life color is actually green and you'll definitely notice it. I need those pair back again and will get them if I ever find my size.

Buy a pair with at least an extra 2-3 inches in length (I stepped on the ends and pulled but the length is still too short now), also I think you can size down 1 in the waist as I wore my indigo pair before I washed them and when I washed them they didn't shrink very much from where they stretched to.

Amazon.com has sizes in stock here.

The verde were grouped with the pre-shrunk 501's, but according to this review, they are really STF.

So...if you are ordering one for yourself, might you order one for me as well? I'll pay for shipping to Canada of course. I'd need a size 28x32. PM me first though, I don't want to find out that I owe a dozen people money for jeans they bought for me!

When did they change the 501 cut? How much slimmer are they now (what is the leg opening on your pair)?
