Mercedes G55: Proper or not?

I have a Mercedes G55, lately I've been thinking if its a proper vehicle to show up in a a nice upscale restaurant or do you guys think its strictly for an aggressive image at a nightclub?

They're pretty common anywhere from NY to LA. No one there is going to care about what car you pull up in, except for the valet.

I agree. Valets will love it when you drive up but restaurant patrons won't care or even notice.

They are rather hideous. Save your money and buy a Scion.

And post a picture of the "dope ride" in question in the "RIP Good Taste" thread, for good measure.

Is this thread serious? What a stupid question. Not to mention the fact that that car is hideous, it's the sort of car 18 year old female movie stars drive simply because "it's expensive".

Too many comments come to mind. If this place is truly upscale, you're only going to turn heads with a rare, classic car. Driving around one of MB's ugliest vehicles isn't going to do that.

By the way, who the hell looks out the window of a restaurant to see what people drive up in? If you're having such a bad time that you feel the need to stare outside, either you are at a bad restaurant or your date is that terrible.

Jesus, the jealousy on this forum is astounding.

I happen to LOVE my G55. Its a daily driver and I abuse the damn thing... it never dies. Best MB ever built by far.

Just because some annoying celebrities get in the G55, doesnt mean its for db's.

I would say rejects in honda civics, toyota prius' and hummers enjoy the title of biggest db's

i don't mind the G, maybe as a winter driver, but definitely a weird thread. worried about how you'll look to a valet is pretty db.
