Hi Styleforum!

I'm looking for a slim fit shirt made of twill (see 1st and 2nd picture) that I can wear untucked or tucked with my v-neck jumper or cardigan. I also want a collar similar to the one in the 3rd picture I believe it's a semi cutaway but I'm not sure.

I've have done some research and I found out that many people think Harvie & Hudson shirts have higher quality than TM Lewin shirts, is this true? When I look at the pictures of their twill shirts it seems like the Harvie & Hudson shirt have higher quality. But Harvie & Hudson doesn't offer slim fit and their twill shirt comes with a breast pocket (I hate breast pockets) so I need some alternatives, I'm open for all suggestions as long it's under 45₤.

Look at Brooks Brothers Slim Fit Shirts on their website. I beleive they are on sale for around $60-70. They have the Londoner collar (which is cutaway) and french cuffs. The material is a twill like cotton w/ 3% elastane for a slight stretch. Nice shirts at a great price. I just got four myself.

Here is the link:

ndw Thanks for the link, the shirt looks great although I liked the English collar a litte bit more. But I live in Sweden and the shipping will cost me 50$. BTW "can" I wear a shirt with french cuffs when I'm wearing a cardigan, jumper or just the shirt?

No problem. That's no good that shipping is so expensive. If you decide to buy them at least get a few so the cost will be worthwhile. It might not be proper (I have no idea) but I will wear french cuffs with pretty much anything. It may be a little more formal to wear french cuffs, but I just have a few pairs of cool cufflinks, some more formal than others, that I use.
Also worth noting about these shirts is that they are non-iron and treated to remain virtually wrinkle free and they always maintain that very crispy freshly cleaned look. You can pretty much throw them in the wash and they come out without wrinkles (I still take mine to the cleaners though) Good luck with your search for a shirt. By the way, I do not work for Brooks- I just really like the shirts.

Thanks again for the information ndw, the quality sounds great. If the collar is like the one i posted above I may buy. Do you have a picture when you are wearing your shirt? I would love to see how spread the collar really is.

No problem at all. The collar is about 1.5" high. It's probably shorter than the one in the pic you posted, but I couldn't tell you for sure. If you decide to buy one- hope you enjoy it. Cheers

I leaning towards it, I've sent a few emails to some other shirt manufactures depending on what they say I may buy the one you posted. But thanks again for all the help, you're golden!
