Would working out make me look better in clothes?

Some recent fits:

I'm wondering if working out/lifting/whatnot might makes me look better. I've always aesthetically preferred the way clothes look on really slim people, which caused a bit of an aversion to lifting or bulking up, but if doing so might actually make me look better in my clothes, I'd have to think about it.

Anyway, if you do think working out would be good for me, which exercises/muscles should I emphasize?

Thanks,
wmmk

Regardless of how you look, it will make you feel better and it will generally improve just about every aspect of your life.

if not working out, as yes it will, no need for heavy lifting or anything but just pick up a sport or light lifting.

but mostly i would say to change your hairstyle. a more contemporary hairstyle cut closer to your head would make you look less stick figured.
what i mean is you can keep the length, but reduce the thickness or body of the hair you have right now.

I could be wrong on this, as when I started working out, I wore somewhat looser-fitting clothing than you do, but if you're like me, you'll bulk up so quickly in the beginning that you won't fit your clothes... so it may be expensive for you. Having said that, I think you'll outgrow the emo-waif (no offense) look when you hit your early-to-mid 20s, and will want some more bulk. So will women.

They're well, actually. Since October I've lost about 23 pounds and more importantly, feel and look better than I have in years. I signed up for a 5k in April, so right now I'm concentrating on trying to get in shape for that more than I am anything else.

I've also noticed that diet plays a much bigger role than I would have imagined. I used to think I could eat shit and work my ass off and be fine, but now I realize that sometimes the diet is more important than the actual activity level.

Working out will certainly improve your social life once you get into college, as well as your professional life, once you start thinking about it. I'm a total hypocrite for saying this, by the way...

Yeah... working out will make you look better in clothes. In addition to this, you will feel more energetic and be more productive in your endevours.

Once again, I have to come to the rescue.
Little dude, the answer to your question is what kind of body you aspire to have?

If you still wish to have the same body shape, then even if you are really fit as in well developed and defined biceps and abs, no one can see through your clothes unless you like to wear lycra and tight short cycling shorts.

If you wish to have the classic bodybuilder look with cobra like V shape lats, cannonball traps and shoulders, barrel chest, thick cable like arms and trunk like legs, then you need to do bodybuilding exercises.

So it all depends on your target. You question is unclear.

In future, everybody should just PM me for answers instead of sieving through copious amounts of junk.

BTW whats with the cello?

Yes it will, and not really because your body needs much changing, but by the crippling insecurity and self doubt that's obvious in your photos in the way you contort your face and how you stand.
