What is a reasonable used Kiton sportscoat price?

I used to dislike wearing sportscoats, but these days, I love wearing a sportscoat with my jean. So I am looking to expand my sportscoat selection. Assuming that you love this 100% cashmere used, but in excellent condition Kiton sportscoat. What would be a reasonable cost for it? Thanks.

100% cashmere Kiton blazers sell full-retail for @$4,400 at Neiman-Marcus. At "Last Call" a month or so ago, I saw some that were marked down to around $2,000. So, if it's still in basically new condition, I'd think it could sell in the $400-$700 range on Ebay, depending on the size and the color. Lately, it seems there's been alot of Kiton on EBay, thanks in large part to seller "FashionNY," which may have pushed down prices somewhat by increasing supply.

Whatever you're willing to pay.. For what it's worth, watch out for some of Kiton's cashmere goods -- they sometimes come in very loose weaves that are not likely to last in the long haul. MS, you are obsessed with getting a Kiton piece. I think that you are better off going with something that suits your eye in terms of fabric, rather than hunting after Kiton and ending up with a pattern that you find at least questionable enough in terms of taste as to cause you to ask for Forum opinions on it.

obsessed? Hardly Thanks for the concern though johnnynorman3. This blazer that I have eye on, I simply love it. I love the pattern (something I can wear all year..), the top button rolls over - 2 button coat (which I really love), and the left lapel slightly covers the breast pocket (which also I LOVE..) Things that stop me from getting it is that the blazer is used and it's sizing. I never bought something that is used. The coat's size say 40R but it measures 44 chest and 19inch shoulders. That is more like 42-43R which is my size.

You won't fit in that coat. That's cut like a 40 or 41. I would hesitate before buying it on the assumption that it will fit like a 42 or 43.

All the Kiton's I have tried on at NM have always been quite slim, fit me like a glove, but I'm really slim, so I can imagine how others might fit in them. Jon.

I don't think it'll fit you (too small), and I also echo other members' concerns regarding the durability of Kiton's cashmere.

Don't buy it. Unless the seller is TheWorldsfinest or AHarris, the measurements are probably done wrong, and you'll be screwed. On the other hand, if it doesn't work out, I will be willing to take that jacket off your hands - no charge.

It has been my experience that Kiton cashmere is the most substantial that I've encountered. I've not experienced any wear problems in Kiton cashmere suits, sportscoat or overcoats. However, mileage varies.
