What Are You Wearing Now/Today Part I - Page 664

GS, I think your logic is flawed but I understand what youre getting at. The problem I find is that a person is completely capable of understanding good taste or give perspective to an aesthetic while being themselves a poor dresser. Being a poor dresser (which mind you is subjective to begin with) doesnt invalidate your opinion alone. If I post a picture and everything I've critiqued on others I do as well, then yes, you would be correct. In Drizzt's example, I like his taste and would easily let him give me advice on who makes the best suit/sport jackets. Because he doesnt know how to wear them in proportion to his own body doesnt mean he shouldnt give any advice on how others should wear them.

Thanks. Yea, that was a killer deal from Chorse on the jacket! This is the sportier one with the lambskin trim and zipped up rain hood.

Mid-40's son, how old are you boy?

I'm really trying to find some better jeans but struggling, don't really want to start the 14,000th thread here on "skool an old geezer on jeans" but may have no choice.

No, not boots. Their C&J weymouths [ish] but on a different last.

Of course you can critique something without having owned it, but critique is usually a subjective thing and it's nice to see where the person's coming from in his own style by seeing what he's doing on a daily basis

I agree with Jason's disagreeing, put up or shut up. You can't have your cake and eat it to, and all that.

If I may sir, I believe those jeans look like 'mom jeans'. High wasted, flat front with no wrinkles and they make you look like you have hips. I don't have any suggestions jeans wise, but I think it's good that you're exploring your options there. Cool jacket.

Appreciated, thanks.

Grabbed a new pair today, I'll drop them up tomorrow for some feedback.

Omega- I don't mind the 501s, they go well with your style and age. If you're looking for something else I'd suggest 5ep, the quality is up to that of the rest of your clothes and the cut is a little more timeless and less fasionable. For that matter, why not get a pair of 501 STFs? if only because I think the STFs darker hue looks a bit better and (in my experience, STFs don't have as much thiogh bulge as regular 501s). Looking good. Drizz- I agree w/socal on the trouser break, but looking good. I like your pictures if for not other reason than it's nice to see how stuff looks on an more athletic build. If I might suggest one thing to change it's your stance/posture in your pictures, I used to always "check" my outfits in the mirror with that same stance until I realized how unflattering it made me look. As someone who looks to you when searching for how certain jeans will fit my 'athletic' legs I'd love to see you in less composed and stiff shots.
