tigerx, I find myself largely in agreement with Bona Drag. The jacket is great--I really like the collar, I think--and the jeans, while a bit loose, will be good once they're broken in a bit and drape instead of crinkle. The shirt and shoes are where I'd personally change it up. The jacket looks to be interesting enough in its own right (DB, interesting collar) that I think the striped shirt is just detracting from it, and I actually think the shirt collar is drawing attention away from the jacket collar. A plain t-shirt in a contrasting color (v-neck, crew neck, I don't think that matters too much), or a sweater if it's cool, and I'd call it done. Subtle horizontal stripes, like those on cheap's AA shirt from his pic today, would be nice. If you do a button-front, I'd make it plain, and with a jacket that length, I'd probably either tuck it in, or have it hemmed shorter. And the boots are hard to see, but I would probably put something there to contrast with the dark jeans and dark jacket; tan boots or white sneakers are my go-to options. Gray kicks are nice, too. Don't mistake the critique for hate, though. I do like the outfit! I just figured I'd take you up on your offer to make comments/suggestions. Braid, beautiful light in that photo. Brian278, those are my RRDGs--same as yesterday's photo, though yesterday's photo better captures what they actually look like.

Thanks Cheap. Like your pose in the last post.

Ayn - Nice hoodie. Gotta get me one one of these days.

Sauce - Simple pieces, but with the perfect fit, as usual.

Who - Nice jacket. The diagonal pockets are handy.

Rye - Once again with that kickass cardi.

Tiger - Like the double breasted jacket, but I will agree with the others that the shirt's gotta get tucked in.

Braid - Are the sleeves on that shirt short cuz I don't see any bunching at the ends at all? Nice afternoon light.

O momentous day, that I get my cheap AA cardigan. I dunno, anyone think these are a little--feminine? I feel like I'm wearing half of a twinset.

Between Fuuma and ddml, this round of the Peasant contest could easily turn out to be What Are You Wearing Now: The Back in Black Edition.

Nice fit. Clearest pic I've seen yet of the Carpe Diem leather shirt. If you'd told me a year ago that I'd find myself coveting a leather shirt, I'd have told you you were crazy. But I'd have been wrong....

Those jeans are pretty tight braid, but they go well with the look you were going for. What model of sams are they?

Tiger. That's not much of a budget. If you're gonna spend $60cad on a dress shirt, you should be able to find something a bit better than that. Same with the steve madden shoes. $120cad can buy you something better than that. I agree, with trying to work vintage pieces in. Also, try to get stuff on sale. Just be very aware of what stores(brick&mortar and online stores) have sales and stuff. You can find decent things on a budget that way. Ebay can be your friend too. The outfit isn't bad or anything, it just is a lot of money for alright pieces since it seemed like everything was full retail price.

If I had your budget, which isn't bad at all I would throw some vintage pieces in the mix so you don't look to much like an office intern. Your look is ok, but not interesting, and you don't have to spend dollops of cash to create charisma, plus Steve Madden is a douche, give those shoes to charity.

thanks for the advices. i know i'm gonna sound pretty dumb, but what are "vintage pieces".

thanks again
