I've actually worn that exact chain out.

As a joke.

Kind of.

I bought it in Chinatown.

Bandwagon

yea, the m-65 parka was designed to fit over the m-65 field jacket as I understand it.
I have no problem with "loose" fit really, but the arms are huge

I got it on ebay, unused with liner and hood (huge lined one) for like 22 + shipping (which was more than the jacket) Great deal imo, if it works aswell as a winter jacket as I imagine.

I dunno, Superbobo, maybe the parka would look more appropriate with a hat? Just a watch cap or something. It seems odd to see it without other weatherproof gear--boots, etc.

Today. Winter's back?!

^^
you´re probably right. I though a wach cap would be too warm, but it would have been perfect..really windy and chilly outside.

I like you outfit, good color choices, but the hat seems on the small side?

I like your gear Shoreman...looks comfortable, functional, colorway is very nice (esp with the unbleached turnups on your <nudies?>"

I agree (nice look btw). It seems a little odd to wear such a big ugly parka on what appears to be a sunny spring day A coat like that calls for chunky boots, and a flat cap would top it off real nicely.

$22 is a good price... some ebay retailers are selling them for $160 BIN.

well, with out the liner it really feels like a spring jacket. I was going for the oversized top/slimmer bottom look, not really the all-out winter milititary/forester look

Get Smart,

I notice you are a huge fan of Paul Smith socks. I like the designs, but how are they in terms of breathability? My feet tend to get hot in certain types of socks, so I need something that isn't too stuffy. Also, where do you get them (assuming you get them on sale)?

PS socks are very lightweight so they're pretty breathable. My feet don't get hot so I'm not a good judge of it, but they're thin enough so I sometimes double sock with a white ankle sock underneath to fit into loafers better (lack of lacing makes the vamp and heel a lil loose in PS socks)

I've only gotten one pair on sale ($11/free shipping from Neimans last winter). Most of my PS socks I've gotten from my fiancee as gifts...and we get them at our local PS store in LA (they have a much better selection than dept stores)

Nice shoes GS.

thanks Larry, the Drydens are one of the few AE models I like. They aren't as log-like as most AEs...I dig the slight squared-off toe, making it look appro with jeans. And the medallion pattern is simple and clean.

How do they fit though? Are they made on the last that's loose in the heel? Oh, and love that cardigan GS. Wish I could have found one like that here.
