Unfortuantely, my first negative/bad experience with a forum member: mat135ta. Bought 50 buttons from his listing here: NEW Style Arrived- 5mm/3mm thick MOP/Horn/Wood buttons for shirts/jackets . Many arrived damaged and irregular--in fact, a majority of the 18L were chipped in the back. Many of the 16L and 14L were more gray than the smoke. Here is a photo for you to judge for yourself as to whether I should have gotten these damaged buttons in the first place: mat135ta refused to give partial refund for return of defective and unwanted buttons, claiming "I think it is not fair for other buyers if one pick the best of the buttons and return the rest." Tsk, tsk. Not only was there no prior disclosure of the variable quality, there was no quality control as to what was sent to me! But choosing the best ones to photograph to put in his listing, and then sending out these? Well, draw your own conclusions. In the end, I asked if I will get a full refund if I sent all the buttons back. He said OK except for the shipping. That's when I had enough--it wasn't the $2 in shipping charges that I wasn't getting back, but the principal of it. I decided to eat the $50 (with some usable buttons), not send back anything, but provide feedback on here for everyone else to decide for themselves whether to deal with this seller in the future. This way, I also have all the defective buttons for closeups photos if anyone wants them. The whole sorry affair was captured in PM. Send me a PM, and I'll forward you the exchange. "Made by factory for Brioni" Yeah right--I'm positive that Brioni would not put these buttons on their shirts, or I'll eat all the buttons I was sent. The seller is now offering me a partial refund for the defective buttons after more back and forth. But I won't be taking him up on it since he refused to originally. Also, I don't want to get into a battle for what "qualifies" as a defective button.
