Buyers and sellers feedback thread - Page 245

Smooth transactions with deveandepot1, tweedydon, and GQhustler
post #3662 of 5452
I didn't want to create a thread about this so this seems to be the most logical place to post this.

I have bought probably 30ish items through SF and never had a problem with anything. My last 2 attempts to buy things have been awful though.

In both instances, I sent PMs to the sellers, did not hear from them for 4 to 5 days and then get a PM that says the item is sold. It was so unprofessional and ridiculous for both sellers to act the way they did. Both times, the items were shoes that as a struggling student trying to build up my wardrobe I needed. They were fantastic deals that I jumped on right away. I sent them a couple PMs saying, "Give me your paypal so I can pay you" and I don't hear anything from them.

Has this stuff happened to anyone else? If so, do you think more transparency would help the buying and selling on SF? I really have no idea how we would go about doing this but what do you all think?

Just had a smooth transaction with SimonC. Everything came quickly despite the fact that it was being shipped from England. Thanks again.

Well for all you know in both cases someone else PMed before you, so you can't say for sure you were brushed aside for someone else.

Just did a transaction with Vman, I can only say that he is the best seller I have delt with on here (there have been many). Not only are his pictures, descriptions, and attention to detail of the goods of the highest level, but they actually failed to portray how amazing the goods I got were. Honestly, I figured I'd just be happy because he takes such good pics and has so much experience. Well, he blew my expectations far far away.
I will for sure go back to this well.

Made a good deal with mainy for a blazer. He even threw in a couple of starter ties. Great seller and very responsive to PMs.

It's first come first serve and SF is a privilege. There's no "service level agreement" they need to abide to except for forum rules.

Just gotta deal with it. Bargain hunting always has a catch!

Bought a pair of Mabitex from Lefty. Easy transaction with fast shipping. I would definitely buy from him again.

I probably have made this same post 10x but whusurdadi comes through with amazing service and product AND prices all the time.

Everyone who suggested I change my collars on my shirts in WAYWRN can thank him for revamping my shirt arsenal this week!
