Good price on a brand new J. Crew peacoat. Excellent condition. Prompt shipping.

He also was kind enough to mark the item as a gift so that when UPS showed up, there were no customs fees to pay.

Would do business with again any day.

EDIT: Whoa! Why was he banned?

He claims to have every item.

You're very lucky.

Great buying experience dealing with kryptix. Ridiculously quick shipping.

I haven't seen this posted here and I really think it needs to be. Do not...I repeat...do not do business with a2_hennessy a.k.a. augustskies and who knows how many other SF accounts he has. Dude tried to scam a whole bunch of people but got too greedy and the whole thing blew up in his face when his victims began calling his university and his town's police department. I guess he expected them to just bend over and take it up the ass quietly.

I could use some input. I'll try to be concise.  I listed my 501 '47s in B&S and in the sufu supermarket. I ended up selling them to a sufu buyer, but I'm more active here, and find the input more helpful, though I love some of the sufu posters. (AFter this, I'm never selling in sufu though.)  His initial offer was $125 overnighted (listed at $140 shipped). I refused. He offered a slight variation. I refused, told him I the best price I coud do was $120, plus the shipping of his choice, and I listed the prices. He paypaled (personal payment, not at my request) the payment, plus money for FedEx overnight, asking that I refund the money if I could not assure him they would be delivered next day. I have the option to ship personal items through my work shipping dept. sO I asked them if something went out FedEx Standard overnight, would it be there the next day. They said yes, and that they'd upgarade it to Priority Overnight free for me. It was apparently almost the same price, and they're cool.

Item is sent. Item arrives. Apparently FedEx did not leave it, and left a note. The following day the buyer emails to tell me since he did not get the jeans on the day he specified, he was refusing the package, and asking me to refund his money. I told him he was being unreasonable and that as far as I was concerned, I did what he asked, including upgrading shipping to ensure they were the delivered in the AM, and that it was beyond my control that FedEx was unable to deliver them. He said, essentially, that perhaps it was not my fault, but nevertheless he stipulated at his time of purchase  that next day delivery was part of the agreeement and since he didn't get them in time for "Friday night" (date, event, something), he was requesting a refund. (I'll quote the PM's but I'm on my phone and it's just another step to deal with)

I find this, essentially, absurd. I've no desire to jerk anyone around, but I feel like his request for a refund amounts to him saying he bought an option on the jeans, and now he's giving that option up. I certainly did not agee to this format of a deal. I want to be a good seller, but the jeans are bought and paid for as asked. I think this is bullshit. I'd like to tell him he has two options:

1) I'll ship the jeans back to him at my cost. They're his and after I send them this time, I'm done with this transaction.

2) I'll relist thm, and when they sell, send him the money. There are price drop issues here, and others, too, I bet.

Thoughts? What would you do?

Man, what bullshit on his part, Otis. You clearly have a record that it was to be delivered the next day, and Fedex left a note because the guy was not home. That's certainly not your fault. As far as I'm concerned, you held up your end of the deal. If you wanted to be nice, you could take them back and refund him all but the original shipping costs if he sends them at his expense, and then relist them. As far as I know, he can't submit a claim because he sent the payment as a gift, right? So, did you already receive them back since he refused them? If there is one thing I've learned, it's that guys who are going to try and nickel and dime you are likely going to be a pain in the ass in many other ways. Good luck.

Thanks Z.

I have not received them back yet. I imagine they will arrive today, though not sure.

I find the whole thing absurd and a little insulting. I don't really want to prolong the exchange, but on principle i just want to send the jeans to him via USPS and tell him they're his, and that he can do what he wants with them but I'm not refunding his money.

This is what you should do. What an immature little prick that guy is.
