While I do work on my shirt, I've had an idea for a tuxedo coat. Since I have a few plain suits and a black tuxedo, I wanted something a little more fashionable to wear occasionally. Presumably all of you know of (and likely most of you despise) the Neru jacket as applied to tuxedos. my idea is this: A black or off-white Neru jacket, 5-7 satin-covered buttons (same color as the coat), and (also same-colored) satin trim on the wrists/cuffs (edge of the sleeve to about four inches up), collar, and about 2 inches on the front where the buttons come through. The main material will be wool suiting (worsted, flannel, or gabardine). Either no pockets or just a left breast pocket. Length of the coat is to mid-thigh, like a suit-coat Understand that this is not really going to be worn to any truly formal or semiformal occasions, but rather as a more fun and fashionable coat. Bearing that in mind, opinions? Edit: c'mon, don't be shy, love it or hate it, I'd value your input. 14 views and no posts?
