Has anyone tried to... - Page 2

I just bought a pair of stretch diesels. I'm looking forward to seeing how they last. Many folks have said Diesel jeans are durable. As for wearing out crotches, well, guilty as charged. I shall say no more. Finally, the pockets of my new jeans (and a pair of nantucket red worn chinos i bought from j crew) had sand in them. I suspect that sandblasting is used in their wearing process. I doubt if any of us has a sandblaster at home, but I think that's what they use. -boston

320 grit is just about right if you want to sand . Good balance of control and aggressiveness. Buy the wet/ dry stuff and sand just a little at a time between washes . Stick to the commonly worn areas . Most people get impatient . Do it right and you'll end up with jeans that look naturally worn in . Nothing beats just doing hard hot dirty work in them though
