Creatine does work!

All,

I have been using a creatine product for about a week. I was skeptical at first at the claims that it can increase one's capacity to workout harder and longer, but it turns out that it does.

In the last week, I have put on 2kgs and 0.5cm on my arms. So if any of you are thinking about using it to give you that extra boost, give it a shot.

Have others had similar results? Discuss.

You gained 4 1/2 pounds in a week?

One week isn't long enough to come to conclusions; Repost after a month or two, and you may have more worthy data to share.

Yeah, doesn't work that well!

Creatine doesn't agree with my stomach.

Yes... I put on that amount in one week.

Not trying to write up a scientific report here, fellas. Just posting my initial observations that point to Creatine working for me. Maybe others may find this preliminary views useful.

It's some hybrid product that gives me something that I would describe as a caffeine-induced rush. It doesn't agree with my stomach too. Been pissing shit for the last week too.

It fills the interstices of your muscle fibres with water rather than actually increasing muscle mass, which gives the illusion of bulk without any of the long-term benefits. Go off it for a week and you'll see all your results disappear.

You probably put on water weight from the creatine. I believe it does work to an extent but I cannot take it because of kidney stones. Ouch.

Creatine doesn't agree with your body either. I was using a whey/creatine mix post workout. One night I was hospitalized. Since they didn't know what was wrong with me they did a lot of different tests and found elevated levels of creatine in my kidneys. Had to stay an extra hour for them to flush it out. Wasn't the cause of going to the hospital, just something they happen to find.

Were you using it only in your PWO mix, or did you do some form of loading?

I don't load, but take it pre and post only.
no, I didn't load on it. I took less than what was suggested after every workout. You could take it for a couple of months, get your kidneys tested to see if it's doing any harm. If it's working for you that's great, just remember there could be some caveats.

The effect diminishes with time, that's why people take it for a few weeks and then leave it alone. I call it 'instant titty powder'.

I was on creatine for 5 months until stopping about 3 weeks ago. I have not noticed any dropoff in strength or endurance whatsoever. I don't think I'll be taking it again. The biggest turnoff for me is the MASSIVE amount of water you must drink on a daily basis while on creatine. Water is essential obviously but drinking more than a gallon a day is just gross.
