Now, hand-knitting is outrageously labor-intensive, and the same sweater that a power loom can churn out in minutes would take an experienced knitter weeks at least. The prices might turn out to be outrageous. On the other hand, a lot of underappreciated craftsy people are willing to work for peanuts. Might be worth a shot.
I don't know much about this, but is there any outfit out there that will knit quality sweaters on a loom in a made to measure fashion. My sweaters are generally too big in the body as I need to get XL for the arm length, but even the slimmer cuts are too boxy.
