Need to buy a new car-suggestions - Page 4

www.hyundaigenesis.com 10 year, 100k mile warranty. Haven't driven...it just seems intriguing to me. not sporty though, which you seem to be aiming for. Lots of good deals on 07 and 08 Infiniti G35s....I don't like these cars personally but you can pick one up for about 25k with low-ish miles.

For sure.... but aren't you burned out on BMW? Getting sucked in again?

Barf to the E90 sedan's looks. Just my 2 cents.

At least look at the G35/G37, it's not all that -- but a lot of car for the money.... and fewer headaches down the road (if you keep a car for a long time).

BMWs should be leased!!

On a used car the premium for these types of packages should be negligible to nonexistent. The sport package on that car consists mainly of "sport" seats and steering wheel, sport suspension with resulting lower ride height and different design bigger wheels (17" or 18"). The only drawback is the slight decrease in ride quality (more so with 18" wheels). The AWD versions of E90 3-series do not get the sport suspension when selecting the sport package.

Just so long as it's not the 330xi the sport package is well worth it espcially since, as someone else said, the markup should be next to nothing on a pre-owned car. The "x" AWD system adds serious lbs to the car and decreases performace. Unless you live in Jackson Hole, you really shouldn't need it.

Sport package is essential.

For pure fun a VW R32 (my wife has one and it beats a Boxster)

For a more conventional ride and Infinity G35. The best reliability, style, comfort and performance for the $$$

Or look at the VW CC...

If you generally liked your BMW I doubt you will like the Infinity. Too disconnected but lots of boxes checked as far as neat options. During my car search late last year I went right from the Porsche dealer to the Infinity dealer for a back to back comparison. There is no comparison. Really. True they are not directly price competitors but I was looking for something sporty and more powerful than my MINI. I am not an Infinity hater or German brand whore but there is a reason why they win many of the head to head comparisons. I really like the BMW 135i and if you like driving so will you.
