Has anyone considered the most dramatic... Toupées?? - Page 2

I shall rely on stem cell research to carry me if I require it.

Curse those catholics for getting in the way of progress!

Unless your working for the East India Trading Company or Butler to Prince Goerge IV - don't do a toupee.

I have a few mates who were losing it pretty badly and early on - mid to late 20's. They went for a number #1 or the Stone Cold style look. Suits them pretty well and they can claim their hair style, serves a dual purpose as a sex toy.

So if you don't want that Doughnut style then set the trimmer to 1 and man the f..k up and mock all those men who have bouffy hair cuts.

Yeah, I am firmly anit-toupee. What's so terribly wrong with going bald? I think it looks distinguishing.

My sister used to be a 'closer' for the Hair Club for Men. It was a pretty decent system, but you have to go to them to maintain it. I think a dude I used to work with had that b/c if we'd be in a busy period at work and he couldn't get in to get it done you could see the seam between where the piece was and where his real hair was.

I am 32 years old and the past few years I was using the Rogaine... but it didnt really help that much. i am losing (or lost all) my hair on the top of my head. I think its called the crown. lol

Anyway... I use a #1 electric clippers and sometimes shave my hair off with a razor.

I think going bald totally sucks and it fuks with my self esteem badly....

However... as some previous people have said. I think you need to man up and embrace it. A toupee should only be an option if you totally have a some kind of funnny head shape. Believe me, i often consider the toupee and have totally rejected the idea.

Rather than the fake hair route, try cutting it short and keeping it tidy. None of that donald trump or john mccain shit. That is THE WORST!!!

I walk around Manhattan and see tons of bald guys with pretty hot women (or men, depending on persuasion). Again, being bald sucks, but it is not the end of the world. Actually last weekend i was watching the Giants game and there were two different totally hot blonds... both with completely bald men... it was an inspiration to me.

I think ideally using the razor to the scalp is the ideal choice... but i havent been able to get myself to do that on a regular basis. I always feel like i look kind of silly. I guess its an adjustment period.

Hopefully they will perfect the hair clone technology at some point....

But in the mean time.... try to work with what you have and avoid spending money on products or technologies that wont completely rectify the problem.

I have a small head, I'm going to look so retarded if I ever go completely bald.

i think the experience of going bald stems from having long hair most of your life. You need to take control of your life and realize it is just hair and hairstyle. I use to have long hair, braids in fact, but got tired of it and cut it. (i started growing it in 4th grade and cut it junior year in college!) I never wanted to cut my hair but when i did, i wish i had done it sooner. I usually just get a 1 or 1 1/2 at the barber and never been happier. People think i look better as well!
