those Baltazar belts are cool, but they're just versions of 50s motorcycle studded belts. Â they've been popular in the 50s rocknroll/TeddyBoy scene for many years. i have 2 that were custom made for me with different colors/patterns....one has studded initials with burgundy stingray patches and smaller studs making music notes with sapphire blue rhinestones in the centers. Â the other one is a more standard pattern with stingray/rhinestones. Â i've seen cool ones using various snake leathers and animal hairs. Â there is a vintage store in Whittier, CA that had a belt tooler working on the premises making these throughout the day and if you go to any rockabilly weekender there are many vendors selling these belts, handmade for about $120-150. Â the guy that made mine also made some for high end Bev Hills/W LA stores like Fred Segal and i saw them there selling for $300+ Â Â i was really surprised when i started seeing these selling in the mainstream as they've been around for many years without much fanfare.
