  • sort / search / link different folks
  • let people save item descriptions so they can quickly post
  • post via iphone/fb/twitter/etc

Too Japanese.

As in too categorical and measured, and not organic enough?

While I put together another post of favorites, I have to single out and pour a 40 for my homeboy:

Dooooood! That's a WAYWRN post!

Plus, it is well known that you bring the hey-ho to the dojo.

You can just hang this sign out for all to see: "Others Need Not Apply!"

I lol'd

Sold that bike and my Ellsworth a few weeks ago. Just weren't getting the riding time. Down to my decidedly low brow Specialized Enduro Pro.

Not pictured: BB RTW camel hair polo from my college dayz, Dent brown shearling lamb gloves, blue Drake cashmere scarf, Russian winter hat (I look like a total idiot in this, but it keeps my ears attached to my head).

EDIT: The shirt is royal oxford, the tie is wool, the suit is 14 ounce woolen flannel, the shoes are kid (not reverse calf) and the socks are thickish knits.

I will say that yfyf look with the purple gingham shirt and the tan suit is freaking amazing. Well done.

Do it man. It would be a magnificent testament to mankind's vanity & folly.

Seriously, it would be great.

With the overwhelming popularity of The Sartorialist (well, not on this board anymore, but still) I think a website like this would be well received. Would be especially cool if it operated as an addon to the forum. Somebody get on this!

My faves have been posted already as well. I love pretty much anything yfyf, iammatt, Doc H, maomao, whoopee, Parker, Toiletduck, Chorse, Manton, AHarris, PhatG, and edmorel, post. Perhaps in that order, but the borders overlap a fair amount. Others like PSG, CravateN, Baron, AlanC, Neo, Bmulford, Binge, Holdfast, Vox, LK, Mafoo, and LuckyStrike are often inspirational too.

Not that I'm protesting... you guys look great. Bravo.
Custom custom custom. Even if you are not 'fatty', it can be difficult. My drop between chest and hips is so great that hardly any OTR stuff fits. My neck is too big for my shirt size OTR. I have resorted to Jantzen for my shirts and after a few tries it seems the shirts are falling into place. Mind, they are still better than anything OTR for me. Next are trousers where due to heavy thights and butt from lifting my waist is usually too wide. I am going to try custom next, otherwise I am always tying my belt too tight and ruining my look. Jackets tend to be too tight around the chest and I usually cannot get my arms into the armholes, and the lower parts float around me. And I am not even a 'real bodybuilder,' just a skinny chap that put on some muscle. But once you have somthing custom made I can guarantee that you will not go back. Even if it is only Jantzen-like as opposed to SR.

The pictures are great, I agree. "look ma, no heads"
