Hold your fucking horses. It takes time to put a poll together and you can't do it til after you've posted.

I voted Ravens vs. Steelers and Eagles vs. Panthers

I also want Carolina to win the SB.

titans player were trashing the hallway like a wwe pay per view

I'd have reacted the same way after losing like that. I feel pretty comfortable in saying the Titans dominated this game, minus the fact they shot themselves in the foot 3 or 4 times just as they were about to score. That's football for you. And man did the Ravens catch a lot of breaks today. Was it just me, or did it look like Flacco stepped out of bounds on that one play where they were pinned at the 1? He also should have been whistled for delay of game on the drive that netted them the go-ahead field goal.

yes , it did look like that.

The great thing is, we're gonna have to listen to sportswriters praise Flacco for his poise and game management now that he's the first rookie quarterback to have "won" two playoff games. PLEASE! I refuse to give someone credit on that level if his coach has to tell him multiple times, "Don't pass the ball. Joe, did you hear me? Do NOT pass the ball. I cannot stress this enough. Don't pass the ball."

throws a sick deep ball though.

True, although you could say that about Kyle Boller, too. Even the two deep completions Flacco had today were a bit fluky. The one to Mason was underthrown, and the one to Clayton was a lob into double coverage that only worked because one of the DBs slipped as Clayton leaped.

RAVENS! That's the second time we've taken down the Titans in the playoffs in a game that we should have lost.

The replay showed very clearly that Flacco did not step out of bounds in the end zone. I thought he had too, but they showed it again in the postgame report, and it was very clear he had not.

The play clock did expire - we got one there - but that play is so common. I go to a lot of Ravens games, and I can't tell you how many times the Steelers got that exact same call go their way in our last game against them. It gets air time b/c it was the last drive of the game... but I'll take it. I'd like to see the replay of that one Titans run at their own goal line - I'm not convinced that he got out of the end zone before his knee was down. The spot was cloooose to a safety.

As to Kyle Boller - I was a longtime Boller defender. He has a great arm, but no control, and no poise. They're not asking Flacco to do a lot, true, but he makes big-league throws at the right times... including the last one to Mason that put us in Stover's FG range. Boller could never have led that drive.

Looks like the Panthers could be in trouble.

EDIT: And I wrote that before Delhomme threw that INT.

The Cardinals? The Arizona freakin Cardinals are in the NFC title game? Absolutely baffling.

I'm still trying to figure out how a team can look so bad in the 6-7 weeks leading up to the playoffs and then just turn it on like that.

Remind you of a certain team from last season?

Final Standings (assuming nobody cheated and voted after games were over - I didn't close the poll)

4 for 4:
-Why is the only big winner. Nice job.

3 for 4:
-awei, cheessus, and Thracozaag picked only the Giants/Eagles game incorrectly.
-CommercialDoc, Francis91, shoreman1782, theincumbent, and Douglas (aka me) picked only the Panthers/Cardinals game incorrectly. This was the mode selection in the poll.

2 for 4:
-breakz, SField, and thekunk07 picked the Titans and Giants incorrectly.
-ryoneo picked the Titans and Panthers incorrectly.
-horndog nailed the NFC but blew both AFC games.
-bc78, Crooow, Hard2Fit, and KhouriC had the opposite problem and picked both NFC games wrong.
-chronoaug picked the Chargers and Giants incorrectly.
-DBoon picked the Chargers and Panthers incorrectly.

1 for 4: (ouch... but a lot of favorites lost)
-whiteslashasian may share ethnic commonalities with me but, hard as it is to believe, only got the Cardinals game right.

0 for 4: (Oh, man.)
-odoreater. Word of advice, buddy: Stay away from the sportsbook.
