I have little to no tolerance for trance, other than Orbital. But for more straightforward stuff I dig Calvin Harris' remixes, general MIDI, Elite Force, the chemical brothers, most breakbeat and progressive house stuff is cool.

Pretty much all I listen to, but I find it hard to get tired of the Paul van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren, ATB, etc. stuff that appeared during 1999. Sven Väth is great too.

Before this it was all the IDM stuff of course, which I almost as much as the trance these days. The Black Dog, aphex twin, Laurent Garnier, Excursions in Ambience records, Warp records compilations, etc.

And that steinvord thing is a lot of fun!

I wasn't much into it until about 2002 or so. My friend in Miami introduced me, his best friend, Mark, DJ's at clubs in the area. I'm still am pretty damn green to Electronica. I like it for the energy.

I'm glad someone started this because I'm just barely getting into it. I started purchasing singles on iTunes about 2yrs ago & then full albums. But so far the artists that stand out for me are: Offer Nissim feat. Maya (2nd Time) Armin van Buuren (In & Out of Love feat. Sharon den Adel) IIO (Poetica) Kaskade (Pose, Strobelite Seduction) 4 Strings (Vanessa as lead, not the new chick) Late Night Alumni (Empty Streets) Samantha James A good female friend of mine says it appears I like the Female Vocal Trance. I don't know, but I guess. Any suggestions on comparable artists, from what I've listed above?

I really know fuck-all about the genre...but last year there was an album by a dude called Burial, goddam, he was taking it to different places than Ive ever heard.

I have an album by some group called Booka Shade I stole off my network. I kind of like it. I'll probably find out they're know as the fucking, I dont know, Kansas, of the electronic music world?
