Chicago Ethnic Restaurants - Page 6

Any one recommend some really good thai take out?? near north side preferable, but as far north as Lincoln Park or anywhere downtown? Garlic & Chili is right down the street but isn't great.. they will make it hot enough if you make sure to insist. Thai Aroma is close by but not super either.....not bad for $6 lunch though

no, really don't dislike it, that wouldn't be right to say. there are perfectly ok places in town, just nothing stellar. there's a place by my house called joy lee that is good, just not great. katy's, in my opinion, is great.

I loved it, thanks for the recomendation (I think that you brought it up first, right)

we had salami (pork) with honey and figs
pasta filled with capon (I am pretty sure that when you castrate a kosher bird you make him trefe) in creme sauce

and then milanese cutlet. followed by milk based desserts, so, I guess it couldn't have been any more treif

Bumping an old thread here, but I'll throw my hat in the ring for Cemitas Puebla for unique, authentic, tortas. Very good chorizo tacos. In the West Chicago ghetto, though.
