+1. I remember a story on NPR a while back about the whole water-craze and a doctor was on there and said, quite simply, "If you are thirsty... drink it. If not... don't." So, that's what I tend to do now and it works just fine. I keep a bottle with me in my bag throughout the day and sip when I want it.

But as others have said, all this is getting you to the point were you maintain hydration.

Maintaining hydration is easy during the week. I drink a ton of water while at work, eating, working out etc. On the weekends after a long night of drinking and sex, I wake up needing 5+ glasses of water immediately. I should keep a water bottle near the bed so I remember to drink before passing out....
