This thread confuses me. When you all say 'Edmonton' you mean the U of A, right?

i'm a chick in edmonton, and all i have to say is: under what rock are all of the supposedly fashionable men hiding? i would have thought there might be one local guy putzing around on this forum because he was mistakenly led to believe he'd be able to end up talking about trucks/hockey/quadding, but who knew!?

anyway, suffice it to say, i'm impressed how many of you there actually are.

Miss, not from Alberta, but suprised these prairie boys have not yet pounced.

Edmonton is a very comfortable town.

And just an FYI, there is a hockey thread here that I started so you're not completely off base.

So.. where do you gentlemen have your hair cut/styled? I'm in the market for a good place, as it were. Haven't been successful with the last couple of places I've checked out.

Speaking of Edmonton. I was in Gravity Pope Tailored Goods for the first time today. They had quite a bit of nice stuff, but at a retail that is a bit beyond me. The guy there told me they had sold about 30 pairs of W&H Service Boots. I was surprised by that. But, the CDN price they were selling them for was for less than the American I see online- he said they do a lot of phone orders. I got a pair of APC New Standards- I thought it was time to get away from Repros for a while, or at least have something else in my wardrobe. I think I am going to return them (and get stuck with store credit). They have slightly too narrow of leg opening to wear with even my slimmer boots (Brandos). Any ideas on what I can get locally? It is just too much of a crap-shoot, I think, to get jeans online- though I have gotten lucky a few times.

In my opinion, highgrade has a better selection of denim than gravity pope. Might want to consider a pair of Acnes or maybe Nudies... And yes, gravity pope carries some pricey stuff but it consistently has better prices than other retailers that sell the same brands.

Ya, maybe Acne- I have been through a few pairs of Nudies and really want 0-minimal branding.

yea, he's right about high grade having better denim selection than gravity pope.

as for the barber thing...though i admitedly have little experience myself with dude haircuts, one of my most stylish guy friends gets his hair cut by Andor at Fuss hair salon off of whyte ave. i've gone there a few times, it's a cute little house that stylists rent chairs in. check it out if you're curious.

lol I have a buddy who gets his hair cut there. I go to a place called Salon on 6th. The owner, Sandy, competes at the world championships of hair cutting or some shit like that.
