I had a lot of trouble sourcing them, and I live in Auckland NZ so even less choice. In the end I just found  cheap jackets in a thrift shop and our version of ebay for a couple of dollars and cut my own from the fabric.

Black suede jacket, tan suede jacket, and navy blue woolen DB jacket all together were around 10NZD and provided plenty of material to play around with. Using the inside surface (never seen the sun/wear) they look great!

Suede was easiest to work with as doesn't unravel or need to have a seam, pre punched the holes using an old sharpened fork to get even spaced holes. Then just sewed them on by hand, taking care not to sew right through to the lining. Experimented with thread matching and contrasting with patch, and gluing vs not gluing. Gluing left a much better final result as it doesn"t pucker BUT can't be reversed!

Good luck =)

Cool look, but I would have swapped the materials of the bag and the elbow patches.

Yeah, I'm not terribly worried about finding the resources, although the first two places I checked offered either a slightly-too-slick almost pleather patch, or a too rustic, worn looking suede. The hunt continues. Kudos on your DIY resourcefulness, I'm a little jealous of your resourcefulness.

That looks great! Hows does it hold up? Also, I'm with Patek, nice bag.

That looks sharp. Nice fit, too. Leather buttons?
