Could be --- they seem to do that everywhere, even with the bigger cooler. Dinan has something now that is supposed to take care of this problem, but it's $$$.

I try not to jump straight to insults because it smacks of immaturity, but I'll just be immature this time. Anyone who remotely thinks that a Z3 or Z4 coupe is "girlie" is a lackwit fool who knows nothing about classic roadster styling. Bug, smart, prius, SC430, those are girlie, and I see more women in ranges than men. Real men drive jeeps. So if your in one of those shit utility vehicles STFU. Rant over.

Exactly. I was laughing my ass off at the guy in the POS grocery-getter Range Rover that thought he drove a manlier vehicle than a Z4.

I think the new Z4 looks cool, the M roadster would be even cooler.

Way better than the z3 and the last z4! I am new to the BMW family and I love mine. This could be next car if it has the turbo six cylinder! Hope I can get one as a loaner when I take mine in for service!

I know about 5 women that drive z's....I know 0 men who do and 0 who want one.

Can someone remind me what James Bond drove in Goldeneye?

Or, is James Bond (international spy, license to kill, famous with the opposite sex, style icon) not as masculine as internet toughguys and not a man's man?

haha...the Z3 is a girl's car, even if you put Sean Connery in it.

The new Z4 looks good to me for one reason: The N54 motor. I drive a 335I cabrio that is modified, and the idea of moving these power mods (which will be easily acomplishable) into the smaller nimbler Z car sounds like a great idea. As much as I love rear seats, I would be willing to give them up in a heartbeat and embrace this little roadster. Such a small car with somewhere around 400HP would be a LOT of fun! I have an intake, exhaust, ECU chip, blow off valve, and a variety of cosmetic mods. here she is :

If I were to go that route, I'd just get a 135 and be done with it. Non?

Eh, the styling of the 135 is a slight turnoff to me. I like the hardtop convertible feature of the Z a lot as well. I drove a R129 (the one right before the recent looking one) SL500, and I hated its ragtop (even though it was a pretty good one)

I don't dig the crosseyed look the 1 series has, and it just seems... unsleek to me.

it's a nice car though! I just like the 3er more, and I think that the 1 doesn't fit the cost/benefit scale at all. The Z has a very nice looking all leather interior and the 1 doesn't. So that factors in as well.

I was just teasing. The 135 is one ugly child, in an ugly family. The new Z4 is probably the best looking car since Bangle took over.

I like the 3 a lot (esp coupe and cabrio) but I don't think they were bangle cars. it'll be interesting to see what BMW turns out now that he isn't working there!
