Currently it is this performance of "You Don't Know Me" from The Band. IIRC, this was their '83 or '84 tour in Japan. Anyways, Richard Manuel gives one of the most haunting vocal performances of his career. That is saying a lot considering the guy's nickname is "The White Ray Charles." this changes all the time but i just heard this cover of bob marley's soul rebel done by old crow medicine show, a blue grass indie band. i was pretty shocked how well done it was.
