Unless you have tons of cash, don't buy too trendy cause it might be different next year (those really pointy shoes are the perfect example). If you're looking to stand out start by checking out a store that carries armani collezioni, you really can't go wrong and the line has clothes for any occasion. They've got some really nice pants for summer. I bought a pair of beige pants that were a linen blend, because of the fabric they look slightly ruffled. I got another pair of wool (not heavy wool obviously) pants that were a light olive (I think but I can't really remember since i'm not at home and i bought them a few weeks ago) and a pair of black pants (can`t remember what they`re made of). They all fit well around the waist but are a very loose cut and drape beautifully and look really nice inthe wind. You want light colors in general. You`ll also find some great knit t-shirts in rayon and silk. If you're florida i'd hope you're goint to do some golfing in which case you should check out a boss store as they have a great golf line. If you want something less expensive you could check dkny, they usually have good summer clothes (better than their winter line i think). I haven`t really had a look in there yet but last year i remember them having some nice stuff that was comparatively cheap. Graet clothes are expensive so unless you've got tons of cash, it's better to build a wardrobe that you won't need to throw out in a year. I myself spent a LOT on clothes this year as i was starting a new wardrobe from scratch, but if you build it a bit at a time and think about the wardrobe as a whole and what's missing you'll find your money better spent. So i guess my motto is don't indulge the trends unless you've got money to spare.
Thanx for the great reply. I also thought about checking out some Armani and Boss shops. I need some light chinos and a new pair of black leather shoes. I also think that it makes more sens to think about your wardrobe before you buy something. I was always dissapointed when I bought clothes just because they were "trendy" or fom a specific fashionable brand...
