I have the exact problem, sides of my nose/cheek area, between the eyebrows & when its at it's worst I get the itchy red skin on my side burns & the front hairline.

If you go to the doctor you'll probaby be told you have the face equivelant of drandruff. There's a foam agent he'll probably prescribe which at first works AWESOME! Got rid of the itching, flaking & redness within 3 days & was gone for almost 2 months with no other application. But your skin will develope a resistence & now I use it almost every other day. He'll aslo probably give you a prescription for a dandruff shampoo you can use for your face. That helps as well.

If you have the same thing I have then there's no cure, somewhere at sometime you're immune system was compromised either by too many antibiotics or a bad illness & that's how this stuff creeps in! It's controllable it just sucks!

I have the same problem. I can control it on my face by using a good moisturizer. On my scalp however... I'm always tempted to shave all my hair off, it seems like it would help. Unfortunately I don't think I'd look good at all being a chrome dome. So I suffer with it. I think my hair has thinned out a little because of it though

Have you seen a doc for that? I used to have bad dandruff as well but started using Nizoral (prescription not OTC) & it cleared it up in about 2 weeks! I've only had 1 bad episode in probably 15yrs! The drag is having to sit there for 5 minutes while it soaks in. It took me a while to understand but it's actually pretty simple, the skin on your face & head are basically the same (don't quote me on that) so yes you can get what is essentially dandruff on your face as well. Check it out. I think it's medical name is Ketocanozale.

went to the doc for this issue (nose area) and he recommended hydrocortisone (1%) twice daily. cleared up fast.
