Here we go again ...

I would like to point out that the color of the box has no bearing on what is inside. Off 5th only gets the Chelsea boxes but their cufflinks almost always have the round backs. TJX used to get the orange boxes for T backs and round backs. C21 gets the orange boxes for both types too.

^ Can you give a quick classifcation on Talbott Cufflinks? I heard many things (T back, oval back, Chelsea,...) and no clue which one is "better"?

$50. Same as the lion stamp. This is true. I was just pointing out what I'd run across during my hunts. I've also seen a few pairs of orange box pop up at Nordstrom Rack. I believe that the lion stamped oval backs tend to retail for a higher price than the diamond T stamped backs.

This is correct. And to elaborate (and just from my personal experience) -- what AnGeLiCbOrIs said is also correct that just because the cufflinks are in a brown Chelsea box doesn't mean that the cufflinks inside are definitely from the Chelsea line. But the Chelsea cufflinks that I have seen tend to be pretty "funky" -- many are oversized, even a bit gaudy... (think martini glasses and olives, pink enamel, etc.) -- maybe they could be described as being "young" and "hip", or even "anti-traditional" -- but I believe the Chelsea line (they also had shirts) has been phased out because the traditional Talbott base has always been the older, more mature male in his 40s and 50s - perhaps with greying hair. The Chelsea line was an attempt to go after the younger, hipper, urban men in their 20s and early 30s, but they just could't make the tradition, so now they're sticking with what's traditionally worked best for them. Personally I prefer the oval-backed crested links because they feel more substantial... although I do own a few of the t-back ones because I liked the designs. The oval-backed crested ones - in addition to being stamped and hallmarked (.925) -- are VERY substantial in weight and the build quality is incredible. They retail for over $350...

I just wanted to give a big to the guys who's local TJ's are getting in all the cool designs. You suck!

FYI a TJ Maxx I check sometimes had one pair of Talbott cufflinks that they just moved to the clearance section for $29.99. It's an ugly T-back design that I don't want and don't want to mess with selling, but it seems TJ Maxx stores typically moves things to the clearance section at the same time so other stores may be doing the same thing (if there are any pairs left out there).

I have about 4 TJ's within driving distance and I've never found any of these RT cufflinks. Not even one!!! It seems like they're all bought within 5 minutes of being put on display.

I think only certain locations carried it.

I checked stores around Boston and New York city and found nothing. Where did you guys get the good catches.
